Play & Process

A series of pieces revolving around the concept of ‘play’ in image making, experimenting with texture and organic forms.

The project begins with marble screen prints, using different colour parings and ink techniques. Inspired by the natural flow of ink, my pieces progress into screen prints of vases and plants, experimenting with colourways and ink transparency with these abstract shapes; seeing how the medium interacts with different surfaces. Revisiting my sketches, I then began experimenting with digital collage, using G.F Smith prints along with some of my own photography to explore texture and organic forms.
